Klaus:

I kiss Ettimay's head before leaving her to attend to Constantine.

Ettimay locked his door it seems.

I enter the dark room and sit next to him on the bed.

"Constantine?"

Klaus:

"I need you to look me in the eyes for a moment."

I get strait to the point.

"Can you do that?"

I could already tell he was on edge and plagued with many thoughts which should not be his to carry.

Constantine:

....

does he think I'm 8?

"Uh ok.."

I pretend to scoot closer when instead I cover him with one of the sheets and try to make a run for it out the door.

Klaus:

I flash in front of him.

"You need to trust me."

I move forward as he moves back.

"I know you must have saw a lot of things, and I am sure it is all very confusing and frightening, but without proper context most things are."

I back him to the bed again.

"You have no reason to fear me Constantine, I am only here to help you."

Klaus:

I lean over.

"Perhaps one day, when you are older."

My pupils dilate as I stare deeply into his eyes and explain to him what "happened".

You were captured, and shown horrible things, fortunately for you you remember none of it. You developed an ability to shield yourself at the expense of others. You currently are unable to touch anyone until we figure out a way to lower your shield. You will sleep soundly now for the wrest of the night."

I guide him to his bed and leave the room.

Hoping he wakes up ok.

Ettimay:

I wake up SENSING a disturbance but it was over once I finely come too. 

"Klaaausss..?"  I call stretch  out on the bed not sure where he went off too at this hour. 

Klaus:

I flash right next to her with some tea.

"For you my dear."

I hand her the cup as a DISTRACTION

Ettie:

I accept his thoughtful gift. I was delighted I was able to cheer him up, he seemed much better. 

"Oh thank you.."

I sit up not to spill and consider all that was at hand. 

There was so much to do.

Klaus:

I grin, very much enjoying her when she was like this.

"So what is on that todo list today?"

I ask

Klaus:

I smile when Ettimay goes back to business as always.

"Shall we split up to power through the tasks?"

I inquire hoping Constantine took his treatment ok 

Klaus:

"Alright I will do the wrest."

Which appeared to be generator/power grid damage.

Better than mopping the floor of blood I guess?

I follow slightly behind Ettimay when she checks up on Constantine.

It appeared he was still sleeping.

I breath out a sigh as it was my first time compelling him and I was not sure if it would take.

Ettimay:

"Klaus what are we going to do about him? He cant brush against anyone here without starting something. Compelling it will only last you so far."

I add in with a tone so he knows I didn't forget. 

"Unless hes in a bubble you'll have to do it every week. He certainly cant be an apprentice anymore, those kids wont not just touch him because we warn them."

Hes too old to be one anyway, he just doesn't like the choices. 

 I think of all the barely literate tunnels doing much more complex tasks outside at 13-15 way back in the day.

Klaus:

"For now we need to take one day at a time."

Hopefully the shield will lower on its own, if not, I have no idea what to do.

"If the problem persists then I don't know... perhaps gloves?"

I suggest sheepishly.

Klaus:

Ettimay found little humor in my suggestion.

When her back is turned I grab my head at the graphic visuals projected to me by Constantine.

Thats not good..

I quickly lock his room until I can check on him when he is awake.

*Goes to complete my portion on the list.*

*All while Klaus works Constantine's dark abyss of the mind continues to play out using the lost memories as building blocks making surreal abstract scenes its transferred to Klaus in pieces throughout time he needs the most concentration* 


Constantine:

As soon as it is morning for the underground kingdom 6 am I WAKE UP on the dot.  I cant remember any of yesterday or my dreams. I felt really tired though like I was not rested...

I was kidnapped I think.. and it must have been bad if I blocked it all out.
I think to myself feeling funny about it. 

Kinda funny I wasnt in the infirmary though... then I think.. if I was recused then there might be injuries. 

 I look at myself in the mirror trying to see something anything that could show what was done to me.

There was a little dried blood in my hair. I was just about to lick it but stop and get dressed, triping and slipping on messed up fort blankets. 

I reach the door and.....

Klaus:

My urgency to finish my chores was GREAT.

Constantine's projections were exceptionally distracting and wouldn't stop at all.

I flash to his room as soon as I can and open the door...

Klaus:

I take in Constantine's demeaner.

It was awkward.

I hate how even after I tried to fix things there was still a residue of something there.

Orion truly made a bloody mess..

"Are you cold?"

I take off my jacket and hand it to him as he relayed that he did not remember much.

Good..

Klaus:

Constantine was still projecting to me.

This was a very strange side effect but at least the feelings were good now?

I try to process our heartwarming moment when Constantine asks me about Petrus.

I suppose all good things must come to an end.

"We were unable to find her."

I cringe.

Constantine:

I pat the jacket excitedly and if Dad wasnt here I would check it out in the mirror to see how cool and like him I look. 

unfornatenly the GOOD FEELS stop flowing when I get some bad news about my girlfriend. 

"Do we know where she is? On the cameras?  Or who has her? We're going to save her right?" 

*FEELS TEENAGE HEARTBREAK AND BELIEF DAD CAN DO ANYTHING IF I HAVE A PROBLUM HE IS ALWAYS THERE FOR ME*

Klaus:

I am hit by another wave of emotion.

But this one resembled the intense and overpowering embodiment of TEENAGE LOVE.

I swallow hard, just about ready to give away my position for him.

"We don't know where she is but.. we will try."

Klaus:

I feel absolutely horrible and am unable to respond to him.

Ettimay comes into the room and I don't dare look at her in case she can SEE SOMETHING IS WRONG.

 

Klaus:

I keep getting intensely projected emotions from him.

It was rather distracting.

I hoped to speak to Noomi about getting this tye between us dealt with as it was almost unbearable.

More emotions are projected but this time from Ettimay.

How strange? Her too?

I try not to acknowledge what was disclosed to me though it was quite humiliating.

"Constantine it is best you stay in your room, but perhaps we can try squeezing in some supervised walks so you don't go stir crazy."

I quickly glance Ettimay's way but say nothing.

I leave the room

Klaus:

I try to ignore Constantine's projections.

The last one from his mother was the hardest of them all.

We always had a quarrelsome relationship Ettie and I, especially during the days of Beolan's leadership. I was attracted to her light and she was attracted to the glimpses she saw of mine. Unfortunately there would always be a part of me that could not be controlled. My actions hurt her repeatedly and the Tower only made things all the worse. We are really trying but there are some things that can't be taken back no matter how hard we work at it.

I can't bare to keep doing this to her and our son, I needed to distance myself and stop getting in the way.

I approach Noomi's unit to explain what I did and see how it could be fixed, if at all.
